    Cyn Elise.

Talented gal. Singer/songwriter, artist, chef, writer. We dated for a while, many years ago.

The level of intuition she displayed verged on telepathy. She claimed to be partly psychic, and I believe it. When she needed cigarette or beer money, she'd go to the scratch-off case in some quickie mart, pass her hand slowly over the rows of cards and murmur, "No... No, no, no... Yes." The one she bought was always a winner for ten or twenty dollars. I saw her do this not just once or twice but many, many times at various locations. I once asked her why she didn't use that psychic twinge to buy a lottery ticket. She told me no, you couldn't use the talent to make yourself rich or there would be consequences; she knew it the same way she knew which ones would be winners. I asked if she'd get a lotto ticket for me then but she said it didn't work like that.

Talented singer, too. And a really unusual, melodic bassist. We met when her band came into one of my studios to record; her voice later graced several of my own recordings. She did it as a favor, never asked for a dime. Wrote songs that were sly and funny and heartbreaking. Aimee Mann heard three of Cyn's tunes playing over the studio monitors once and liked them a lot; even said she might like to record one, but didn't.

All in all, a very interesting gal indeed. One of those people who just seems to burn extra brightly- whenever she did anything, she was all in. I sometimes wonder whether if she'd been signed maybe her strange, short, colorful life could've taken a different track from the downward spiral she ended up in. But I suspect she probably would've self-destructed anyway.

Here's a link to a post I wrote about dating her in a TGP thread "How did you miss the crazy, as in 'my crazy ex'?"

Joe Bonamassa is to guitar what Michael J. Fox is to ballet. The very fact that there is a Bonamassa forum amazes me.

I don't understand the hate for J B. I think maybe he's a little long winded sometimes but I enjoy most of what I've heard. And the guy fills venues all over the world.

No hate for Joe, he's gone exponentially further than his skills alone justify. Objectively, he is not a "Signature player," like Hendrix or Chet Atkins. I would not walk out on his set at a bar, but I sure wouldn't pay much of a cover to see him live.

What qualifies someone as a "Signature player"? Do you mean that as in having a Signature Model Guitar? If so then I would counter that Kenny Wayne Shepherd is far less deserving of a Sig model than JB. If you mean Signature player as in one of the greats then I would say I love Chet Atkins but I despise pretty much everything by Hendrix except his BOG stuff. So to me Hendrix would not be a "signature player".

Someone like Chet is a signature player because you hear the first couple of notes and know it's Chet.
A signature guitar is a sign of smart management but denotes no talent level.

    Hahaha.

For the hell of it remember Banjos, Bass, Acoustic, Electric Guitar......just no ukes, not rock n roll enough. Reminds me to much of that little girl with a dress on Americas Got Talent, the one with the buck teeth and kind of fugly.

Okay guys we passed the 1.2k mark

Pretty dope and this thread has long passed the number of guitars from the forum I originally got the idea from by many numbers.

Your all a part of it and thank each other for getting this far. This wouldn't be here without you.
