Up to you, it's no skin off my nose. bye.
Calling it a stupid question was rude...and unnecessary...and insulting. To say otherwise is just silly.
Ouch, you so hurt my feelings. I won’t be able to sleep tonight! And the tears!
Fave Humbuckers so far are Fishman Fluence moderns which have active and passive selection and have a very nice clean not to mention the ability to roar in active.
For SCs I like the stock 1995 am Std flat poles or the 69s.
Tried them all, always came back to alnico V
Woah, a proper can of worms opened up here, heh heh. Not sure if it was my question or the OP's poll that was a stupid question, but for my part I'm certainly not offended. I've asked my fair share of stupid questions in my time and I'm thick skinned enough to not worry about it. I'd be more than happy if everyone just chilled out - that's not aimed at anyone, just a general plea to all concerned to employ their sense of humour.
Now if you try to tell me I'm not allowed a Humbucker in my strat then I might just have a sense of humour failure. LOL.
For partscaster Blackie it came with home made pickups. I had a Duncan catalog and so I picked Duckbuckers for mid and neck while my store had a new ssl-1 for the bridge. This was good but too SRV to my ears and when I became aware of Fender CS69 pickups I had new set of those installed in 1998. They are still in and sounding great for my needs in that guitar.
I'm happy that the Pure Vintage 59 Pickups have so many votes. I think they are fantastic PUPS with a lot of sparkle and pop.
Since I got them a few months ago the Josefina Campos Hand Wound CS Fat 50’s have been nothing short of delightful. I am partial to my old guitar they are installed in. So glad to have it sounding so awesome!
Your going off because you feel his statement was rude, and you’re response is to throw out a condescending insult? Pot meet kettle much? Hey, why don’t you go start a thread about how mean people are on this site.
I have a Seymour Duncan lil 59'er single coil sized humbucker in my bridge.... I took out a Rio Grande Stelly for it.. I like it
Noiseless pups are great. I have a set of Fender hot noiseless pups in my Strat, love 'em!
Who are YOU? LOL! I guess we’ll never find out. Welcome to the ignore list!!!
As far as favorite pickups, it seems like it depends on the guitar.
Ive tried a bunch and ended back up with gfs vintage alnico. I think a slightly more powerful set might be good but for now, Im ok.
Id love to try the fancier brands but, of the ones Ive tried, I just felt like they ended up as not worth it once the honeymoon wore off.
Did you want to include only Fender pickups? My favorites tend to be a few aftermarket brands of noiseless pickups (Kinman Traditional Mk-III, Zexcoil, Lace)
Why can’t people quit whining about each other and just answer the OP”s question? The very first response questioned why SD pickups weren’t included. Obviously he was only asking about Fender pickups. If you don’t have an answer to the question, don’t respond. Simple as that.
Can dish it out but can’t take it huh.
C’mon fellas. This is getting pretty silly. This thread went mute 3+ months ago after the OP was made aware that the pups on his poll weren’t good enough. Somebody please start a new poll with the options that somebody else wants.
