Well, you're a smart ass, I'm a smart arse. You say tomayto and I say tomarto. Let's call the whole thing off.

Honestly, we would have a lot less hostility if we Yanks had just renamed the stuff we speak as Yankish or Americish or something.

It must be, right up there with asshattery - "This forum has high levels of asshattery, especially when @Dadocaster and Thrup'ny Bit get started"

I have used that word before. Asshattery is a GREAT word.

What hostility? I thought it was just friendly mickey taking, I may have to reassess.

I was meaning on a societal basis, not on a personal basis. You are fine.

No it isn't. Which is why it's possible to post it. The ST filter blocks words like **** & **** & even ****, but it can't block invented words it hasn't predicted. There are some peculiarly English almost-swear words that it doesn't recognise that you can get away with too. :sneaky:

Well, I guess overall that was a mostly warmhearted welcome - with a few twists.. ;>

if u want pics this is the only recent one I have of my '72 standard body and the replacement neck I just ordered (long, ugly story) - after tax $ comes in I'm going after pups & locking tuners (*and* locking strap buttons!) Actually planning on buying a pre set-up 'guard - just haven't decided on which setup I want).

Happy New Year (Cheers to those on the other side of the pond)!
