is 'assery' a word?
It is now. We are a linguistically nimble bunch.
Welcome ! I do believe it's the law in these parts to post guitar pictures when you say hello !
Well, you're a smart ass, I'm a smart arse. You say tomayto and I say tomarto. Let's call the whole thing off.
Honestly, we would have a lot less hostility if we Yanks had just renamed the stuff we speak as Yankish or Americish or something.
It must be, right up there with asshattery - "This forum has high levels of asshattery, especially when @Dadocaster and Thrup'ny Bit get started"
I have used that word before. Asshattery is a GREAT word.
What hostility? I thought it was just friendly mickey taking, I may have to reassess.
I was meaning on a societal basis, not on a personal basis. You are fine.
Time to take my assery to bed.
Welcome! Careful on here... some cats are super sensitive and cry easily. Get butt hurt and try an team up on yuh if you present any information against the grain so bring ur kiddie gloves!
It is indeed. We require tribute of guitar photos!
My assery is posting from there.
No it isn't. Which is why it's possible to post it. The ST filter blocks words like **** & **** & even ****, but it can't block invented words it hasn't predicted. There are some peculiarly English almost-swear words that it doesn't recognise that you can get away with too.
And welcome to Old Hippie.
Well, I guess overall that was a mostly warmhearted welcome - with a few twists.. ;>
if u want pics this is the only recent one I have of my '72 standard body and the replacement neck I just ordered (long, ugly story) - after tax $ comes in I'm going after pups & locking tuners (*and* locking strap buttons!) Actually planning on buying a pre set-up 'guard - just haven't decided on which setup I want).
Happy New Year (Cheers to those on the other side of the pond)!
The action on that guitar looks a little suspect.
