I don't have anything Tele. I do have two pairs of epi humbuckers, two old Fender MiM pickups and assorted old pots and switches, Let me know if your group might want them. Neat project!

That would be awesome, we have a few pickguards but a few more would help! Thanks!

@carolinaeasy I can't find my Tele parts. They're still buried in a box somewhere or they got tossed when I moved 18 months ago. I tried to send you a private message but my brain is in Sunday mode and I couldn't easily figure it out. That said, let me know what you still need, where to send it and I'll drop ship as much as I can.

I’ll post some pics tomorrow. We meet every Monday but Columbus Day threw us off.

do you need more parts? I've got a gold modern tele bridge, a JT Turser perloid pickguard, and a JT turser humbucker if you think these can be useful...

We met again today, and we are starting to get some of the body blanks together. The pine blanks you see are our "test" bodies, to practice the routing, drilling, and CNC machine with, the ASH body you see is one of the "good" bodies we are putting together for the final products. I am interested in seeing how these 12 piece pine bodies actually sound when finished. So far the students have glued, clamped, and planed the bodies. More to come! unnamed (5).jpg unnamed (1).jpg unnamed (2).jpg unnamed (3).jpg

Monte, we could use one more bridge, beyond that we have enough pickups and pickguards thanks to everyone here!

Very cool! Out of curiosity, do you have a paint booth set up?

Yes, the school has a ventilated paint booth in the shop. I directed the students to start reading the information over at reranch to help develop an understanding of the process and to figure out color schemes.

An old fashioned wood shop. I thought they were extinct with the way modern education systems work. Neat.

Man that's cool! We had a nice shop when I was that age, but we didn't have a full-on paint booth. We built CO2 cars and painted 'em all up like hot rods and stuff, but all that we had for painting was a little portable vented table. I never got the chance to play in a real paint booth until college when I got a bro model on a local longboard brand.

Just a couple of pics. Most of the kids now have their body blanks put together. With that in mind we ran a four piece poplar blank through the cnc machine to see how our plans worked. We sourced the body drawings of a 53 Tele over at tdpri for this. The first pic is of the first body. The neck pickup route is funky because of a glitch. You will also see that the body needs cut out on the band saw to finish, but overall it is looking solid. The second pic is of the second body to be run. IMG_0076.JPG IMG_0091.JPG

I have replaced my gold vintage tuners with a set of gold single-line Kluson's, so if you want the extra set, I can send them over.

Did the other stuff I sent over arrive?
