I like the new hangout Duck...glad to see the RR1 make an early appearance too. Nice shred!
Thanks @sam_in_cali. Yea, the old girl doesnt see much use these days. But when she does I remember what an amazing guitar the RR1 is. But, you already know that
Sorry, I should have put more smilies in there...I was being sarcastic. I fully agree...speed is just another dynamic to use.
I would play faster if I could .
Man that was awesome Duck! Sounded really sweet! Keep it up man!
Thank you @Guy Named Sue
Love that clip @Tone Deaf -- Thanks!
Damn!!! For sure you ain't no one trick duck!! I kept waiting for you to segue into Eruption, it totally had that sort of vibe (and I mean that as a huge complement).
Thanks man, I appreciate the kind words. I was debating a lil' two handed EVH madness but I was using Amplitube 4 in that clip, and the noise floor went through the roof if I stopped palm muting the unplayed strings.
Maybe next time
Smokin' all right! Very good indeed.
Cool shred Duck! I like that there are some different note choices and exotic sounding scales in there. You wail!
Hey Randy , err I mean duck that's an awesome tone you've got dialed in
Love me some shred well done ...
Yea, there's some RR in there, definitely. He was my idol and inspiration in my fledgling years.
His playing may not seem like anything special today, in his time though, there was no one like him.
Just a thing ...
Fantastic! Great playing...and the TONE!!
Smooth, melodic and great tone. Really nice playing!
Thanks @BallisticSquid and @CigBurn
The tone, yea, the tone
The Eleven Rack makes great tones by accident. I am starting to feel its the single best gear purchase I've ever made.
Combined with Pro Tools, its mind boggling the tones that can be created with just a few mouse clicks.
Mine must be broken because it sure doesn't sound like yours. Or maybe my guitar is broken .
Or maybe I know a few tricks that you dont.
I am sure you do.
You have probably played through many of the amps the 11R emulates. I have not, so I largely have no clue.
One thing I struggle with (and this isn't just the 11R, it's my GT-100 and Zoom G5 also) is getting an amp with good clean headroom. I'm used to this with the physical amps I use...which is a crappy Crate practice amp and my ValveKing 112. I can blow the roof off with clean tone. The amps in these simulators have no volume unless you turn the gain knob up, if just a smidge. Now you have a cleanish tone rather than clean tone. I like to work from a clean tone and tweak from there.
For now I have some patches I got from a tutorial that I tweak and work with that.
