Cool song. Took me back.
Great job too.
Great playing. Genius!
Oh man used to love that one, and that one would always get people on the dancefloor. Great job mouse!
Thanks @CigBurn @Ebidis @abnormaltoy @xland and @Bodean for checking the latest one out. I'm considering introducing this one to the band and see if there's any interest.
Take a dozen doughnuts and pass them out right before the proposing the song to the band. Generally gets you what you want.
A box of Munchkins ought to do the trick.
Don't know that tune, but it's pretty cool
You got some funk going on lately
You can do Hetfield and loose funky rhythms also- that's something
Thanks Matt. No matter how much I continue to dabble with lead playing, I'll always be a rhythm guy first. I don't think I'm doing anything that anyone with a good rhythm background can't do regardless of their genre of choice.
I love playing rhythm but lead is easier to spell.
Ha! Rght? Dmn lck of vwls mks it hrd to spll.
A bottle of vodka might be even better.
With the long holiday weekend I had a bit of time to knock another one off my list. This one doesn't seem to get the airplay as many of his other hits but I remember back in the day it was in pretty heavy rotation. For those not familiar, this was Stevie's tribute to Bob Marley.
Master Blaster - Stevie Wonder
You crazy funky white boy! Nice groove . I dig the way you play
the horn/ keyboard lines on the guitar. Mrs Mshivy thinks you are very cool, she likes this stuff a lot
Thanks Matt. It's clear our wives don't share our love for the metal.
Other than the reggae chord stabs, the guitars are pretty low in the mix so I can't say I'm playing this correct or 100% to the recording.
Reggae doesn't get the air time it deserves, awesome job at changing that dude! well done.
Amazing song, great work Mouse. That really took me up there brother, made me wish I was still writing stuff...
Hey stranger!!! Good to see you popping up in here. Thanks for listening to the last few and witnessing my equivalent of Haley's Comet with an original tune.
Agree on reggae as well. It's not nearly represented enough around here. Hope all is well brother and that we can see you around more.
Very cool brother.
Just checked out the Climax Blues Band and Stevie Wonder tracks. Man that Climax Blues Band tune takes me back...I remember that being played on the radio all of the time...cool tune and a great job on it.
Depending on the band, beer might work better than donuts...or both .
Never heard this Stevie Wonder tune...that's a great one. That funky reggae rhythm stuff isn't easy, and play it so well you make it look easy. I like that muted upstroke thing you did, a subtle but really cool sounding...adds a lot.
Cool runnings Mon!
