I think some fungus got into the soil of a few of my plants. I kept finding mushrooms in my nice healthy butterfly bush. It croaked in a few weeks. Ill keep it til spring and see what happens. A couple mints started getting funny too. They're pretty much weeds, hard to kill. But I got a couple new ones and put new soil in those pots and they're doing just fine
This weekend, I won my first Star class sailing regatta in Milford, CT with a good friend crewing for me (double-handed boat). I can't believe my name will be on this 65 year-old trophy next to some really big names in sailing over the years.

An empty beach works wonders to clear out the cobwebs
I'm ok as long as the boat is moving. But just sitting on the water, I don't care how calm it it is, I'm sick in five minutes. I appreciate a beautiful boat but I'm not getting on one
That's too bad. I find being on a boat very comforting.
me too. i spent a week aboard a 110' crabbing vessel on the Bering Sea during the oil spill that followed the wreck of the Selendang Ayu in december 2004... when i got back on land and hit the sack in motel room, i could still feel the rolling motion of the boat and it made me sad, like a visit from a ghost or debilitating nostalgia...
