I have the Bugera T5 head and really like it. They are a Behringer company so many people don't like them. One thing I read or saw a video on was about the Infinium tech., because it is supposed to extend tube life, you can only push the tubes so hard and then a safety circuit kicks in.

I don't remember where I saw that but I haven't had any complaints with mine. One thing I have noticed is the insane amount of headroom with mine, which I didn't expect with a small watt tube amp.

The V55 runs $450 new so, in that regard the price doesn't seem too bad. If it's for home use only, that's gonna be loud, lol. The 5w I have is set on 1w most of the time and rarely gets all the way up.

I've had a few Bugeras, and I've liked them all, except for the V5.

The V55 is pretty loud. Yes, you can run it at low volume, but to be honest, the tone suffers pretty badly until you start working the amp a bit.
I would put its tone somewhere between a Vox and a Marshall, and with a graphic EQ in the loop, Fender type cleans and tighter gain tones can be had.

The gain channel is good for classic rock and blues. Anything heavier and you'll need a pedal.

The price on that one is really good, and it looks clean.

its a tube amp and its gonna sound like a tube amp.
this famous dude once said something along the lines of if you give him any guitar and any tube amp, he could fiddle with it for 15 minutes or so and get his sound.
if you like it, get it.
they are all pretty much the same.

I wouldn't say a Bugera is even close to a Mesa, or Soldano, or British built Marshall, or .....

Dont get me wrong, Bugs are great amps, and at their price point, they cant be beat. But ...

Thnx for the feedback gents. I bet a 5 to 10 watt amp would be plenty for home use. I would never push it hard. Strictly blues and classic rock.

I use a 2 watt amp for living room practice, and can’t really crank it.

If I get pedal crazy, I'm cutting down to 0.1 watt so my son will stop saying turn it down. Home use strictly, 5w more than enough. Depending on how close the neighbors are, you'll be able to push it just right. If you're in an apartment, look for one with a .1/1/5 watt setting or similar.

    I have a Bugera V-22 & a Vox ac4 TV mini running through a 1x12 cab, both amps on a A-B-Y pedal.
    Fun!

That's going to be a really loud amp. If the purpose is home use only you might consider something smaller. Around the house I usually use a 4 watt tube amp and it can get really loud.
