You made that baby Pop!
Thanks my friends.
Hey Jeff! Can you do one in tie dye?
God I hope not.
I have 3 of these to do in 3 different colors. Should be fun, still have some details to figure out.
Jeff, I’ve seen some of your straps on Squier talk, and I’ve been looking through this thread. All I can say is , WOW! You my friend are “ the BOMB.com of leather straps.
But, I have to say, I think you titled this thread incorrectly. Lol. It would be more appropriate to have called it ,
“ The Superman of leatherworks”
You really are gifted at this stuff. Such an artist is rare to come by in this day and age. I am so honored that you are making one of these for me. And at the same time, helping me pay tribute to the three most important woman in my life that have done so much for me.
Again dude, you are truly blessed to have the patience and drive and skillset to put this kind of love into what your doing. Very inspirational bro. As I said before, you have liscense to do whatever you think looks right for the strap your making for me. Im lloving the concept so far. On point bro
Thanks for the kind words. When I started this little thread it was about "trying my hand". Thanks to the support I have gathered on the forums this mild mannered hobby has blossomed a bit. This thread tells a story.
I have tried to carve a niche for myself. I have studied what others have done, and are doing in the strap world, but I wanted to be a bit different. More personal, giving folks what they envision. Although sometimes challenging, we always seem to come to a design that works. I have gotten better at this because of all the great ideas folks have proposed. It makes me proud to see all these straps on folk's shoulders. I guess in a way I am making a legacy to leave behind. Little pieces of me all over the world, that is a cool thing.
Please keep in your design file, or whatever you do to keep organized..
Definitely want on small section of my future strap.
One day, I know you heard it before, but definitely on my bucket list.
My design file is getting thicker everyday.
I don't throw anything away as far as designs. Unless it was something I did off the cuff, then it is in my head somewhere.
That @Rogue Bohemian strap keeps coming to mind.
@ROUGE Bohemiam is definitely a sweet one that probably started all the hype.. in which it should.
Little too much going on , on his for my taste but definitely very cool
Your most brilliant work, IMO. But, I'm also prejudiced.
Hurt my head a little being that brilliant.
@Bodean, do you number and date your straps on the backside ? If not could you please do that to mine? Im a mechanic by trade and hit my head a lot. Lol . Just like it to be there in case some day I hit it a little to hard. Nahtamean bro?
As a matter of fact I do number them. Depending on how the strap is designed they get a stamp and number, or get hand signed.
Somones gonna have to write a book. Cuz in 50 yr how we gonna tell the repros from the originals if you keep changing the words.
They'll say "he had his 'handcrafted' period and his 'made by' period.".
damn Jeff you are a really great artist.
I like handcrafted made in USA.
Better than the MIM in my opinion.
