Have a great Christmas.
You too brother
Good afternoon Mr Bodean. I'm not going to get into a hobby like that, especially when people like you are so very good at it. You must have an amazing amount of patience . The work is wonderful. Enjoy your Christmas .
Thank you. Merry Christmas to you.
Finished me belt, and made a cuff bracelet.
So, @Bodean how did Keith (?) like his gift?
It went over well, I heard.
Really how could it have gone any other way?
What is the ring thing in you last pics?
Its a cuff bracelet. Leather on metal
How is the leather attached to the metal? Glue/adhesive? Would this work on other material other than metal? Any idea on longevity? I'm such a pia
Could have sworn I replied to this question. Musta not hit the button. Attached by contact cement, it is the accepted way of doing it by leather workers. It should work on other materials as well.
My son got a knife for Christmas. I thought I would make a sheath for it. i have been wanting to do this for a bit.
Yet another mask is complete! I had an old sheet of leather lying around, so I thought I might turn it into something else. I make and sell those masks as a hobby. Surprisingly, there are people who buy this stuff . I missed the opportunity to make one for Halloween, but since the carnival is approaching, this might be a good time.
Once again, it took about 10h to make, I think I'm getting proficient Double needle stitching is so relaxing...
That is cool. I probably should look into making stuff like that for the dark sector. There is money to be made for sure. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! With the talent of yours, you'd find plenty of customers in no time. Your works are true pieces of art.
My wife would like me to make her a leather purse. Now, I gotta find some decent pattern
There are some leather working groups on facebook that are wonderful for information. Also the web is full of info.
My daughter wants a purse, so I will be doing that soon.
There are so many styles.
Thanks for the tip, Bodean! I was considering purchasing a suitable pattern on Etsy. Sometimes they are provided with tutorial videos. Comes in handy for an amateur like me
That would enable me do make something useful, for a change, and learn some new skills, like painting edges.
