Alright a Blues Jr. NOS
Cool set up!! enjoy!!
New EC Twinolux... amazing and versatile amp!
A superb amp!!! it will serve you well!! enjoy!! congrats!!
Hey thanks! I have to say, I'm digging this amp in every way, not the least of which is the versatility with the 3-way attenuator. So nicely responsive, and unlike my recent Two Rock, stupid simple. There's just the right amount of control, and easy to get great sounds out of.
My Blues Deluxe. After going through many amps and getting some duds, this is a winner.
Yes Dunzie!! you nailed it!! it's a great amp in more ways than one!!
Sweet!! good set up!! enjoy!!
Kinda tweed but not tweed.....
Here’s my new all hand-wired 5e3 head by Eli Abbott, Northampton, England, UK http://www.abbottsmusic.co.uk/Hand-Wired-Amp-Builds.html with selected NOS tubes.
The natural wood cabinet is Ash and has been simply finished just with oil. She loves single coils...
Is that oak?
I have the same Peavey amps and cabinet. Great tone.
I cant afford one of those, I suppose this doesn't count
Ive owned alot of nice tweed stuff-always sold it to keep my shop dealing in vintage gear! But my biggest regret is selling off my early tweed deluxe's. When i saw this, i had to have it . A BRIAN COX ULTIMATE 5E3. Impecable build- beautiful layout & soldering & that 2 chanel tweed tone!! Any other Cox owners out there??
My favorite gigging amp is this handwired 5E5A tweed Pro.
I've always gotten along well with 15" speakers.
I really love the tweed Pros, tweed Supers, and tweed Bandmasters.
The tweed Bassmans have always been a little 'too much amp' for me, but then again I don't like playing with loud drummers or using pedals for dirt.
Look- i gotta ask you 5e3 lovers & players & experamentors, do have have any comment-any experience on the rumours that a V1 Ay7 has alot to do with the tone & breakup of a 5e3 amp??of course im an old gummer but new to owning a 5e3! Does that first gain stage tube need to be a NOS GOVERNMENT TUBE FROM 1953!! A 12ay7 for tone?) And while were on the question, just what do you think of NEW OLD STOCK TUBES IN A 5e3???)speak your mind!!$
I love my early 57 Deluxe...
Some selfies requested next to it!
5E7 Bandmaster clone built by Morgan Keedy.
Maybe I need to man up and get of my no combos kick.
Get some muscle
Well, i couldnt wait for anybody to chime in about NOS military surpluss ( overpriced?) tubes,& i took the plunge! I got rid of the JJ 12ax7& the JJ 12ay7, & swapped em with the new old stock: what a great difference it made! Also installed a Weber A12a125a, much more tone & depth in tone!!
