Hmmn. I'd better take a look at the spreadsheet and see what I'm supposed to be playing. :sneaky:

I've added C'mon Everybody and a link to the Led Zep version, but I might post and even heavier arrangement of it if I have time to record it.

Could anyone who would like to play bass on any of the tracks listed so far, put their name down, please? I'll happily play bass on whatever's left but I don't want to stop anyone else from participating, so I'm giving you 'first dibs'.

I'll suggest some more songs very soon.

A question for those of you who can really sing - as opposed to shout rock 'n' roll quite loudly - is there any love for Elvis Costello? Many of his songs are outstanding, but only with the vocal lines sung to the right notes!

Other suggestions for songs I can sing:

Apologies for the cheesy video on the last one, but it was the only original album version I could find, oddly enough.

Humble Pie are one of my all time faves so I'm up for that, and Lay Lady Lay too! We used to do an Elvis Costello song but age has dulled my memory of which one but deffo up for that too.
I never got into Rory Gallagher though but that doesn't mean you shouldn't add it to the list Si!

ps. I think the Elvis song was Watching The Detectives......not 100% sure but it's not relevant anyway! :D

I'll post some videos later. My current task is running an HDMI cable from Hazel's office down into the living room, so we can use her iMac as a media server. :sneaky:

Here are a few EC possibles. No obligation to agree to any of them, and I'd rather pick a winner or two than do the whole lot:

    Watching The Detectives:

    Alison:

    New Amsterdam:

    Oliver's Army

What I'd really like to know though is why the guy who cut the tiles in our downstairs loo though it was OK to leave gaps round the radiator pipes big enough you could probably lose your house keys down there, but whoever cut through the floor where I'm trying to get a cable through (which is a boxed in area, never to be seen again) is so tight round the pipes he probably does inlay work for PRS by now!!! Grrr  Now I've got to figure out how to make a hole though the floor and ceiling inside the boxed in cladding, without making a hole in the wall bigger than the back box for an electrical wall plate.:eek:

Thanks mate. :) I think I may have to take out a small section of skirting board, then cut a big enough hole to get some control over a flexible-drive while I drill through the floor. This could turn into a really good way to injure myself, because there very little space to work in.

I've put these on the spreadsheet with me on vocals and lead guitar, but if anyone else wants those roles and/or we can't find a willing bass player, I'm happy enough to go over the bass instead.

I’ll look at these and if the bass isn’t too complicated I can give it a try.

That's great. I really appreciate all the prep you put into the parts you play, because you really deliver in spades on the day.
