Unless I'm missing something....it's 5 weeks tomorrow
I’ll say it again:
@CaroCrousti just can’t wait to get to London!
Maybe we should ALL sing (or shout) those lines!!
We do need a few more blanks filling in on the spreadsheet guys and gals...
I'll be there one week earlier, just in case !
No you're right, 5 WEEKS, my mistake.
I wasn't being a "clever trevor" when I pointed that out, I was just a bit worried in case you (or I ) had got the dates wrong.
Weird one. I've put in almost no practice so far, because I've been feeling very guilty that I haven't delivered an edited set of videos from my friend's birthday seven months ago (just as we were moving house and there was Euroguestock II to get on-line...). My friend's other half put together a band for the event. I've posted two songs on YouTube. I'll start song three tonight. Song four is Clever Trevor!
I was supposed to be in the band but the tinnitus was getting me down, so I stepped down rather than make the rehearsals. I suspect I enjoyed the party more than the guys in the band did.
I 've never said you were being a "clever trevor" as I don't know what it is
I had never heard about it before ! Thanks
Is it me or is the timing on this all over the place.
If not I need to work a LOT harder on it!
You mean speeding up, up and up..?
I haven't noticed that but when I manage to get in a bass groove suddenly I'm out again. If it is speeding up that would explain it.
this version is a bit more steady but you might need to boost the bass a little to hear it properly
I had a dream last night that I was picking a new strat apparently it was free and I was looking through two rows of hanging Burgundy Mist colored strats trying to find the richest deepest most Burgundy Misty one
It's not a dream, it's a visitation. Maybe my next build/finish will be burgundy/burst
Thanks for posting this, mate. It is a lot more regular in tempo than the very early version I referenced with Wilgar Campbell on drums, which gets faster and faster. The later version is actually a good one to practice bass to @s5tuart, because you know what you need to play, but the lower level of bass on the recording means you don't have to ape it note-for-note.
If it's OK with you guys, I'd still like to keep the intro the way it is on the early recording. I felt the later versions were more about crowd pleasing a la Gary Moore and less about the basic structure of the song.
Most times I've dreamed about about a guitar, I've ended up owning something very similar soon afterwards. I'm afraid I can't do much about your target price though, Liam.
yeah that later version is an end the set version we're done, kind of thing, and not as driven which makes it a little lack luster for Rory,
I agree with you on the other version @simoncroft it launches into the song better, so go for it!
something to think about, the latest one is more of a sunset orange/yellow I better get busy on it so its done in time
Thanks guys! I'm just glad it isn't me!!! I can do this! Although please don't ask me for a bass solo!
