Man, so much to digest and learn on Home recording.
So.. turns out i have a Meteor mic which is a USB mic. I'm planning on getting the Focusrite 2i2. I found out the MM has to go straight to computer. Problem seems to be getting usb mic and AI into DAW at the same time. Anyone had this dilemma?

Common problem, the thing is that most DAWs can't handle two sets of drivers. There is also latency, noise and other issues with that aproach to on lots of AI daw combination on those that do. Getting a new mic and the AI is the simplest solution with the best results. Spending 20 hours getting things to (maybe) work through advanced routing is not worth the 80 bucks of the new mic.

Duotone- OK, so it's either AI with new mic into DAW or run my usb mic into DAW. In both scenarios I'm planning on micing my amp into the DAW. the down side, to me, of just using the USB mic into the DAW is I won't be able plug anything else.
