    Dear Strat-Talkers,

the following set was given to me, with the guess they come from an old Japan Strat. Noticeable to me is the smaller size (diameter) of the potis and the foil around the coils. Can anyone of you tell if Fender Japan (Fuji-Gen) used to install these parts in the past?

Thank you and best regards from Germany,

    Matthias

Those are the cheapest & most basic Strat pickups available - ceramics. Instead of using individual alnico magnets for the poles like traditional Strat pickups do, those use steel poles with one or maybe two bar magnets on the bottom. With that cheap plastic switch & 500k mini pots they look to me like something from one of the bottom of the range Squiers.
