Wampler dB+ – Boost/Independent Buffer

    Thinking of buying one of these.

    Saw Brian Wampler at Summer NAMM a few years ago and his demo pedalboard had a crapload of pedals on it and noticed he had one of his buffers in front of it.

    I don't have that many (eight including the tuner, and sometimes 9 with a Wah) but I can hear a difference in tone.

    Any of you tried this particular buffer?

    Haven't tried one, but I do like the idea of it not only being a buffer, but a boost as well. Especially for that price. Right now I am running one these at the front of my chain and it does a fantastic job on a board with 18 pedals.

    I have a ts9 boss ms3 and a nocturn mystery brain.

    Three in my chain. One foot control.

    I use mogami cables.

    If I had 8 pedals and causes sound degradation I would think about what 4 pedals I can do without ;)

    18 ? One for each song right?

    One would think, but no, it's my practice board, so I like to have plenty of options. I can go from playing balls out Metal to Blues, New Wave, and Funk with the tap of my foot.
