    So that means it must be Chrome Blue from between 2000 & 2006?

    Can't say for sure from the pics but Chrome Blue is a richer, darker colour. There was Mystic Blue as well at some point. As you said in your first post it looks very much like LPB, were there any special runs?

    I bought a guitar with a case like that for $120, A Black Squier.
    I really dig the color of your new-to-be guitar.

    Skinny Nitro nailed it - it's a 2000-ish (would be from say July 2000 until whenever they changed to "Z1xxxxxx" serial numbers in early 2001) American Series Strat in Aqua Marine Metallic finish. That color can look "bluer" or "greener" depending on the lighting. It looks really nice, and it looks legit to me as well.

    It's not a 2011. It's pre-2008. But seems legit to me. Maybe a 2001.

    That serial number makes it a year 2000 model. You could say it may be 2001, depending on what month they changed decals, blah blah blah, but I find it easier to just go by the actual number.

    Z0 = year 2000

    And it is still a totally legit American standard Strat.

    Aqua Marine Metallic? I should have recognised that, I had a 1999 Standard in that colour for a few years, but mine looks darker than the one in the original pics. I still think it might be Chrome Blue, AMM is darker than LPB. IMG_3166.JPG IMG_1891.JPG

    One more point,from the look of the saddles this strat has not been set up.
    It may not play so good as it may need some tlc.

    Yep, I figured it out after my other post. 2008 is when they went to the bent steel saddles.
