Thank you so much for listening :) your advice is on spot! I was lost and hesitant at the beginning in spite of 100 of trials I’ve done. Once I get rid of hesitance, phrasing would kick in :D thanks again, I appreciate :)

I'm still hoping to have a crack at this one if I can get five minutes and my hands aren't hurting too badly. I'm still trying to sort out where the B section goes, it's a little odd...

@Omar That's some sweet playing! Melodic and sensitive, lovely.

@Thrup'ny Bit Great playing as usual. No barf bag necessary at all. I thin you complemented the track in a great way, almost like you had a conversation with it. I really like it.

Hope you didn't mind me adding bass and keyboards to level things out a little. :) I enjoyed the challenge, it made me think out of the box.

the last day off i don't know when, maybe 4 weeks ago?. just got home last night from 5 days at the avian botulism outbreak just south of Klamath Fall OR - long days building pools and improvising heat supported ICU enclosures for very sick wild ducks in the middle of nowhere under a smoke filled sky. the apocalypse is upon us. tomorrow back at the clinic (my day job) to see just what happened while i was gone... writing fundraising appeals... dang i'm bushed.

however i did come home to a birthday present (turned another year older while i was away) of this beautiful 40 year old Ibanez... all mapple back side and neck, rosewood board and spruce top and i'm in love... now i just gotta learn to play it...

your track is interesting and tender @Cerb ! thank you for posting it for us to stagger around (well, i was staggering)

Not at all. There was already bass in it but I may have gotten it a bit low in the mix. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

It's really cool what you're doing! How do birds get botulism, through food?

I really like your take, it's sesitive, rhoughtfull and very musical. The guitar looks great an what's more important, sounds great, almost like it creates its own reverb.

I wanted to get one in earlier this week but have only had about 30 minutes to even play guitar all week. I might try when I get back home but I'll be late. I am intrigued byt this track so I'm looking forward to it.

Yes, high temps, low water causes a fish kill usually, flies lay egss in the fish, the larvae (maggots) are eating the botulism bacteria that has grown on the decaying bio-material (dead fish) then the maggots are eaten by ducks, shorebirds - we even admitted a red-winged blackbird... so far well over 300 birds admitted...

What idiot came up with this track?

I tried several takes and it won't get any better than this. At least not before I need to get on that other flight tomorrow. There are some quite fundamental aspect of my playing that needs some serious work.
