Don't mind me, I'm supposed to be sleeping right now
I think this is all I need to convince me that a V is one of the coolest guitar shapes ever.
This is all I need...
But I refuse to let y'all start me GASing for a V.
I REFUSE, YOU HEAR ME?
"V". Is for Victory and you will never conquer the guitar till you get one....Start gassing now.
A "V" is definitely a must-have guitar for everone, but not for lifetime.
I had a V years ago, i loved that, so when i got tired i kicked it up.
A strat, yes, that's a guitar for lifetime.
Sneak peek of the new Gibson Vs being unveiled at CES....reminds me of the Jackson Roswells
I really like that! Thanks for the pic.
Sepultura guy Andreas Kisser
I'll just leave this here...
What so great? Having one and loving it!
Even better than thrash. Trevor Peres of Obituary plays one exclusively (strat). Death metal band from Florida formed in 87.
Somebody (whose life will not be worth living when I catch up with the swine) posted a video of Wishbone Ash, it may have been on here, and now I've started looking at Vs. Andy Powell of WA said he liked the V because "it's like a huge vibrant spring."
Just one question; can you fit a Strat trem on it?
I suppose so. I believe that would be heresy though. I don’t even use the trem on my Strats!
I've had a look and it won't work - string heights are wrong. Bigsby and a set of roller saddles on the TOM would seem to be the way to go.
This is supposedly one of Yngwie's V's that he has had outfitted with single coils, a scalloped fingerboard and a early Floyd Rose system (no fine tuners)--about as close to a strat trem as you can get I suppose.
That actually looks pretty cool.
