mediums on on everything but the J45 which prefers lights, only variation is a set of meds with a Wound G on my old beater that’s set up on G for slide.

Good to know, the top seems thicker than my D28 though, maybe they've changed it to fix this issue. The pickup is surprisingly good. It's a great guitar for all occasions.

    Nice shot!

I just tried them out and they sound pretty dead on both of my guitars. :(

I've had my Taylor 514 for 20 years. Only strings I ever used, and use, are the D'addario Phosphor Bronze Light. No regrets.

I have an old Madiera, it used to be my stepfather's guitar, he kept 13s on it and didn't have air conditioning--in humid Tennessee. So it's suffering from belly bulge, probably needs more work than it's worth. When I got it the action was about 1/2".

It's wearing a custom set of Stringjoy bronze strings, 8-42. The action came down significantly when I put this set on. It's part of my plan to keep this guitar playable for as long as I can.

Martin Phospher Bronze SPs have always been my go-to string, but I like experimenting. D'Adderio EJ16, DR
Rare, and John Pearse Phosphor Bronze are ones I like a lot. I generally prefer phosphor bronze over 80/20 for their warmer tone. I am currently beta testing D'Adderios new replacement for their EXP line, and am quite impressed with them.

These are not bright and showy. They just help the wood's voice come out so beautifully - last a long time and feel great:

DR dragon skin 11s. Comfortable to play and they sound good to my ear.
