I was just looking at the Musicians Friend website and I noticed an FSR Strat in a white blonde finish. It looked pretty nice and affordable at about $599. There wasnt much info about it though. Wondered if any of yall might know about it.:p

FSR stands for factory special run. Seems to be just a standard strat in colors not normally available.

As paleus stated, factory special run. Might have included better pups, electronics, finish etc etc.

"What is a Fender “FSR” instrument or amplifier and why can't I find information on them?"

“FSR” stands for Fender Special Run. These products are specially commissioned by individual dealers and built to their specifications. As they aren't regular production models, FSR instruments and amps aren't generally available to every dealer, and Fender seldom provide specs or listings for them on its website. Your local dealer, however, should be able to provide detailed specs for any FSR products they offer."

Which, I'm sorry to say, tells you nothing. Like that classic line about the Saturday Evening Post, apparently "FSR" means whatever they point at when they say it.

yep, if you are a big dealer you can order ones ( like say 100 at a crack) built to a "special" spec.

    This FRS Strat

ash body............normally a std. has alder.

Vintage Noiseless single-coil pickups..........normally single coil ceramic mags.

So I believe it would be just a Standard MIM Strat with these changes.

A standard Strat is 500, so 600 isn't too bad. That pickup set is about $130 to buy separate.
