I'm working on Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam. Love the SRV/Jimmy Hendrix vibe going on in it.
Still Got the Blues by Gary Moore and Boston's Rock'n'Roll Band - today. Yesterday, it was Are You Ready (AC/DC).
I’m transcribing this version of this song. I’m confident I have all the notes, now it’s just getting the solo up to speed:
Sort of. I'm a self-taught bedroom guy and I've lost some drive and direction lately. But pretty much got Thin Lizzy. Kind of working on Schofield generally.
I'm working on Too Far From The Line, our band-in-progress's work-in-progress.
i'm kind of on a 50s thing now. Trying to work out some Chuck Berry and checking out some Eddie Cochran. Which is now making me gas for a 335 style guitar.
I've been making progress on Eric Johnson's 'Cliffs of Dover'. I've got the Intro nailed thusfar!
This is in my 'to learn' queue as well.
I'm learning that one too. But I just have to strum it. Well that and sing it. Great song. My lead player is going to do the fingerpicking on banjo.
I'm also learning:
Just finished up Clapton’s unplugged version of Hey Hey
I'm working on:
She Only (Great White) -> Intro to Killer of Giants (Ozzy) -> Everybody's Been Burned (The Byrds)
...and forever working on Darn That Dream (Miles Davis)
I'm working on the songs for a short film musical about a superhero chimpanzee puppet called "Ape with a Cape."
Aren't you glad you asked?

Hitch a Ride - Boston
now that's a party!
I can barely believe it, but I'm teaching my students (as part of a Major scale lesson) "Are You Sleeping, Are You Sleeping, Brother John". We're doing it in 3-part harmony (start with melody on the root, 1st harmony on the 3rd and 2nd harmony on the 5th) and going up and exercising the scale. Amazingly the kids (high school students who don't think anything old is cool) are really enjoying this. I guess old grade school folk tunes never go out of style!
Geeze - I just noticed I spelled "song's" instead of "songs".
A couple of originals.
Always on my mind, Willie Nelson.
