Since then, I have removed the Wah since I don't use it, changed the power supply to a larger one and added an MXR Compressor to use with the Chorus on clean songs.

Then it's the Marshall DSL40C with the reverb on about noon.

I should probably get a delay but I just never seem to pull the trigger. If I get one it'll be a carbon copy.

Hey Jp, maybe you can answer some gray areas for me since you have the machinery im looking at. I have a Boss gt-100 and i luv it for how i use it which is as a pedal board. Im not into the cosm amp modeling stuff, but you can’t seem to get away from that. I have a Quilter-101, Mesa triple (old 2 channel model) & an Evh-5153 and bunch em up sometimes with the Radial aby... I love my amps & dont need or desire at this moment any artificial amp sounds. So my question is does the Helix function more precisely as a stomp box than the Gt? As in a series of boxes and a plethora of efx, such as wah, harmonizer & octave down tuner thingy.... Would you happen to know?.... Thank you and anyone that may know this

Actually i can, but it’s only 1 channel... the Helix seems to have different designations.

I've read your post but didn't answer until I spent more time with the LT.

A few things, with the LT I find that its further from just a stomp box.

I'm coming from a Line 6 POD 500X to the Helix so I know what you mean about fabricated non-traditinal sounding tones. Again, the Helix is not that either, my 500X yes...some tones sound like that.

They really did their homework on this one and it sounds exactly the amps you speak of. I find no latency issues whatsoever, again the POD had it but not this one. Obviously the processing speed is much better in this unit.

I don't think the Helix has a Mesa amp patch or EVH but if you want clean dirty tones there is plethora to choose from or make your own. It has hundreds of already programed presets from famous artists to famous gear. You can modify them any way you like then save or you can copy that tone (right click of your mouse in the Helix editor) them save it to your Username. It's endless and you'll quickly become an Engineer. It is so detailed that you can even move your microphones off the cabinet anywhere you'd like.

It's a fantastic machine and I'm just happy to own it. Plus being a Line 6 purchaser you can get really cool stuff. Helix Native I got a free 90 day trial to try then a huge discount if I wanted to keep it but I bought the Helix instead. Also I had an issue with registering my Helix which was no big deal, a couple of emails fixed it. They sent me a FREE G10 Wireless unit for my troubles. No more tripping over guitar cables. Who does that?
