J.Rockett Archer > fulltone Deja Vibe > strymon flint. But that's set to change soon.
Latest and greatest - retired the EJ fuzz for a pair of C'bread Manx Loaghtans:
Guitar to this to amp:
Hey ToneRanger. I've been toying with the notion of getting the Dunlop DB01 wah pedal. Wanted to get your thoughts on how you like yours. Pros and cons. I've listened to countless YouTube vids of it and while I try not to base judgement on videos alone, it seems to me that this wah kinda colors the tone with some low gain grit but this could be how an amp is setup. Thanks
No picture, but I just finished a major update.
I'm now going EHX Double Muff -> DOD Envelope Filter -> TC Cinders OD (Klone, more or less) -> SAS Fryette pentode real-tube OD -> DOD compressor -> DOD Vibrothang -> DOD Stereo Flanger -> TC Flashback Delay -> TC Gravy (Chorus/Vibe) -> TC HoF Reverb -> Behringer Tremolo
I've also got a Crybaby, which is a hook-up-as-needed pedal.
What happens when you smell the Glove?
Is there none more black?
I've never noticed it coloring the tone, but then again I have a buffer before hand, so that sort of erases alot of how the bypass tone is affected.
I love that wah actually - goofy paint job, yeah - but it is one of the most flexible wahs I've used. You can get everything from vocal, subtle sounds to really over the top.
I dig the boost and LED features as well - now that I think of it, maybe the low gain grit is coming from the booster function?
Got the same pedal but run it through the effects loop as a volume boost without the added gain . Get enough gain out the front of mine
This was the original pedalboard thread way back in 09. It died for about the last year or more but was resurrected a few weeks back it seems.
That sir is a crazy amount of pedals. I don't think I could keep that many straight.
That's why the easy button is there
TR has them routed through loops for rhythm, lead, etc so he does not have to step on each one and turning a loop on may have 2,3,4+ pedals in it already on.
what is my board like? Right now it's in pieces being sold off and getting smaller!
Here's my current setup for when I'm just messing around at home
From guitar to amp it is: Moog Pedal to control the Good Vibe, Boss DS-1, Voodoo Vibe Octave, Dunlop JH-1 Wah, EHX Good Vibes, BBE Two Timer delay, TC MojoMojo, DOD Compressor/Sustainer.
Sup DOD Comp buddy?
In the the rhythm and lead loops I have a low gain, a mid gain, and a high gain sound - I pick which one I need at the start of the song and then just toggle between clean (the bypass switch,) rhythm or lead.
-Marshall Channel/Reverb Switcher
-DigiTech GSP-5 Footswitch
-BBE Sonic Stomp
-Roland DP-2 Pedal
-BOSS ME-5 Effects Board
-Roland EV-5 Expression Pedal
-Dunlop Mister Crybaby Super Wah/Volume Pedal
I change out the Marshall, DigiTech, and BBE pedals, depending on which amplifier(s) I use. Size of venue is one of many factors involved in THAT choice.
