My dad bought me my first Strat when I was 12, back in '94. My two guitar heroes at the time were Jimi and B.B. The Strat was cheaper than the 345! But seriously, I really wanted an Oly White Strat because of my love for Hendrix. My dad, who is a Tele player, was happy to keep the family Fender.

Well, i have learned English not in any school, but from Monty Python. If you are really into their comedy, some of their highly educated wit will surely rub to you also!

What languages i had in my schooltime in Finland 50`s-60`s? Finnish, Swedish, German and Latin!

I don´t hate the person som made that BB parody. I knew many people who did ridicule BB in the sixties, and they were professional rock musicians and thought their stuff was cooler & tougher.
It was, but was it better? You can joke about it too, you know.
There is always room for some laugh!

I bought a Roadstar II because one of my roommates was getting rid of it. This was during the grunge era, although I'd been listening to strat players like Clapton, Richie Blackmore and Dave Murray (Iron Maiden) for years. My biggest strat hero was probably Jim Hendrix. My favorite strat album for years now has been Chris Anderson's Old Friend (1995). My skills are solidly stuck in the grunge era though, lol.

I actually love that Strats can do it all and do it all really well. I like that you dig this... even if I like the more soulful side of things. Strats do it all!!!

Hendrix’s entire Morning Symphony Ideas Album. Frusciante’s Maggot Brain cover In the Beginning off his Empyrean album. But it was playing my dad’s almost fretless Silvertone in the basement when I realized that it doesn’t matter what brand it is.

Rory. Hendrix, Gilmour & Blackmore also, but mostly Rory. I cant say Clapton because his best tone by far is his Beano tone. Cheers

    Right Here
    Tommy Crook.
I took lessons from him when we were kids....he had a 54' Strat and I had a black Gretsch Duo-Jet.
It took me a long time to get a Strat mainly because I thought I didn't like the middle pup getting in the way....but...eventually I forced myself to buy a new Strat that played so good it could not be denied.

I've been a huge Pink Floyd fan forever, but I seem to be drawing a total blank...

    What is SOYCD?
