That neck Nocaster is coming out of there and a Lollar Royal T is going in!! The Nocaster pup is a great solo pup but not for a band job.

The Lollar Royal T is a great success. Sounds somewhat like a Strat but it still has a bit of Tele there as well. But hugely better than the Nocaster in a band mix. You can now use the neck pickup in exactly the same way as you can with a good Strat neck - very bluesy and thick bite.

    STRAT
Couple of years in bands around '63 and '64 in the vicinity of my local shop, Jim Marshall's in Hanwell, W. London. Then went into selling for 30 years. But in 2002 became a full time player again and a guitar teacher - so who knows.

Sold all my electrics as part of a "self re-alignment" project I gave myself and then hugely regretted it two years later - we've all been there.

So bought a CORT Hiram Bullock CORT to practice on and was coincidentally asked a week later to re-join a band - so changed the pups to 2x Phat Carts and a Strat middle. Er OK but....then bought a Parallel Universe White Guard Strat - love it. Er....but then.....changed the Nocaster neck pup for a Lollar Royal T - amazing guitar now. Goes through a Raw Dawg 250 watt DV Mark amp and Neo cab. Pedals - Maxon GE601 EQ> Xotic RC boost > BB AT Xotic > Maxon Analogue Delay AD10.

The CORT is most likely on the eBay train out and something like another Strat on the way in. I think I'm a straight 6k single coil kinda player. I really like the Kenny Wayne Sheppard Stratocaster if I can ever find one to buy - delivery seems to be going out and out - May 2021!!?? Yikes.

That's a huge number of changes to what I had three years ago. Its fired my enthusiasm.
