Hey Eyerish, you might alos like The Allan Lewrie novels by Dewey Lambdin. they are Sea Stories similar to Hornblower or Bolitho series except thet Lewrie is far more of a rogue & is unable to resist bedding whatever skirts catch his eye.

      Hiya Robert,
How did you get on with Kevin re the trem block?
Did you get one? how much did it cost you and how mail was the postage?
More importantly, are you happy with the result - assuming you got it.

      Cheers,
      Norris

      Hi Robert,
The guy's name is Kevin Hurley and you can contact him at kevin@khurley.orangehome.co.uk.

He has the measurements for a US standard, and now should have the measurements for a MIM Strat if it is the same as mine.

As I said in the post, as the bridge was in pieces anyway, I finished up sending him the block and trem arm and a mounting screw to be sure that the measurements were spot on.

What I was going to send him originally on his suggestion, was an imprint of the block face using a stamp pad. I also scanned in the block face and noted the measurements on it for him but didn't in the end send it.

If you can get into here, Fender Stratocaster Guitar Forum - kiwimuso's Album: Strat Trem Block There are a couple of photos, one of a trem block he made (not mine, but mine was identical) and the other was a scan of the face of my block with dimensions which is what I was going to send him, together with a stamped imprint until I decided to send the whole block.

I don't see why he wouldn't send to the US of A. I guess it's just a matter of the postage costs.

      Good luck.

      Cheers,
      Norris
