Check the Warmoth demo video comparing the two types of frets with identical necks. I think the difference while not huge is there but can be EQ out.

I think I read SS on the heel before installing it, paperwork says not nothing about SS tho.. I'll defo pull it off next time I re-string it.

You made a good point with the fret ends but there is no hint of yellow when u look at them in person. I still believe they are ss, time will tell...
Right, they look and sound like SS to me, the attack sounds a bit 'metalic' specially when unplugged.
