Hello! I saw your response on a post asking about putting humbuckers, a p90, and single coil all on a strat together. I'm considering swapping out the middle pickup on my HSS Strat with a p90 from a Les Paul, so it'll end up being an HPS Strat. My concern is with the wiring. Do you know if the wiring configuration for a p90 is much different than a single coil? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello. How are you? Glad to help. A P90 pickup is different than a strat pickup because the negative/ground wire is braided wire that surrounds the hot wire. The hot wire would be soldered to the same place the strat positive was soldered on the switch and the ground/braided wire would be pulled back and soldered onto the back of the volume pot. I hope this helps.
