Pretty much does limit you. The odd aftermarket pickups with plates that accommodate extra holes often don't align with Fender stuff.
The Tele bridge pickup is physically different enough from a Strat pickup that it won't even fit in the same opening, let alone under a strat...
I like the Fat 50s as they are thicker and meatier than a true vintage pickup like the 69s.

FWIW any money you put into the Glary will never be recouped, if the one you get doesn't play well or sound good send it back.
When an unknown brand does a limited run I don't get excited. It seems like trying to create exclusivity to drive up the value of a product to me....

The new pictures would not be ok on a $200 guitar let alone their flagship. Shame on their QC...
Put me in the Replace camp. Any instrument over a few hundred bucks should not have that type of defect, let alone their flagship at $1600.
I couldn't call the highs on the Distortion muddy at all. Mine were always very bright, but in the way you usually want in a pickup such as this.
