PSA - be warned my English cousins

Don't things like the Race Relations Act & Sex Discrimination Act take precedence over that archaic "principle"? And those are 1970s pieces of legislation, there have been more since that cover stuff like disability. I doubt if this would stand up to a legal challenge.

NGD: 1980 Tokai Flamingo Orange :)

Fender changed from slab to laminate in 62/3 because Leo feared that differential expansion with slab boards might be a problem. But it wasn't, both seem to work equally well. Most early 60s copies are slab boards, Tokai is one of the few exceptions'.

NGD: 1980 Tokai Flamingo Orange :)

I don't agree. I briefly owned a Springy in that colour & it was far more orange than it appears in the pics here. Fiesta Red was never my favourite colour anyway but FO is not the same, it's a lot closer to orange. The one I had wasn't subtle. It seems like it would sit on it's strand &...

George Harrison's favorite cover of Something

Fair enough, it's a mark of respect for anyone to have their song covered by JB. But I wonder if he ever heard this?

    Frustration of a UK resident...

You can run away from a knife. You can't run away from a gun. Well you can, but it's far less likely to be successful. I know which problem I'd rather face. And as for your earlier comment about "the Yorkshire Ripper", he was a murderer. Does the US or UK have the bigger murder problem? I'm...

    Frustration of a UK resident...

Yep, that wasn't good. But no mass shootings. Well there was one, at Dunblane in 1996 but that problem was dealt with by increasing gun control. That's worked a lot better than letting the NRA decide what to do. It hasn't happened since. Maybe the UK ain't that bad eh?

    88 62 reissue or a 98 62 AVRI?

    No, one should never assume.

Help me identify this "AVRI 57"

No they didn't. This is some sort of partscaster. Unless that's what you want (and I wouldn't...) walk briskly away.

    Frustration of a UK resident...

That wasn't humour. Nothing remotely funny about the matter I mentioned, just desperately sad.

    88 62 reissue or a 98 62 AVRI?

Depends if you know what you're looking for. I've bought online because I know what I'm looking for. I even bought my '83 62RI from the other side of The Pond, no problems at all. Caveat emptor.
