    I Think I Am Done

Give it time. That is disheartening when you think you won’t have the career you want. It’s normal to define yourself by your career choice, but try to see who you are in addition to a guitarist. You’re a guitarist at heart, yes, and you will continue to be that whether you have guitars or not...

Charvel gives Fender 5% of the credit that Fender is due.

Haha, it’s fine. My original post was just a little cynical poke for fun. Nothing serious. After someone said Fender owns Chsrvel, I thought it was funny. My wife and I were laughing.

Pig Nose Amp - Any Love?

I highly recommend the Boss Katana Mini. New York s about $100, eBay about $75. It has 3 settings: Clean, crunch, and brown. It has separate gain and volume knobs, and has a built-in delay, along with the equalizer. You can plug cell phone into it and there’s a headphone jack. Uses for AA...

Pig Nose Amp - Any Love?

I just saw an ad for these Yamaha TH amps in a George’s Music flyer last night. I’m intrigued to try one just because they look so different, but too expensive for a living room/travel amp.

Is your #1 Strat not a Fender?

I sometimes make questionnaires as part of my job, and a good way to handle this kind of question is to make the response choices True False. People seem to make sense of it better.

Charvel gives Fender 5% of the credit that Fender is due.

I love it. The back oh the Charvel Henrik Danhage “Electric Guitar” says it has Fender’s permission to use their headstock. Ummm, hello? The whole guitar is theirs too. Even, the idea of intentional relics is Fender’s. There should be another decal on the back that says, “We didn’t need Fender’s...

HNGD! This one is on my bucket list. So did they sand it down to 10-inch radius, or did you replace the neck?

How much do newer Fender paint/finishes fade?

I agree with others. The yellowing top coat will make it slightly greenish. Do you all think that will happen on both nitro and poly sonic blue guitars?

No, my number 1 Strat, and my other three Strats are all Fenders. I thought it was a requirement.

    De-necking a Fender for air-travel?

If you are just bringing it to play for fun, consider getting a baby Taylor. That’s what I did, and the neck comes off with two screws. With the neck off, in the cloth gig bag, the neck of the gig bag can fold over and is small enough to fit in the overhead.

It looks great and $1000 for that year seems good. I have a 1999 American Standard Strat that I bought new. Still love it.

Oh ya, I like Spaten and Paulaner. I think the Tuborg is just nostalgic, because I had it on a good trip to Denmark. Carlsberg too.
