What do you like on pizza?

Mushrooms and enough cheese to make my doctor give me a stern lecture. I also like the only a little sauce. And the pizza should be well done . The little crispy brown cheese bubbles are the best part.

Yes. Who needs the aggravation? :)

Are there too many ways of sending a text message?

:) I'll drive over in my buggy and help. If the horse isn't too tired. :)

Are there too many ways of sending a text message?

That's because we've finally gotten to "the future" and many of us realize that "the future" totally blows. In the immortal words of Leonard Cohen, "I've seen the future, baby. And it is murder."

    Chasing a certain sound/tone question.

You forgot to mention that someone will post that YouTube video of Hitler trying to find the right pedals so he could sound like SRV, and his freaking out when his generals tell him he “…doesn’t have Stevie Ray’s hands.”

What musical genre do you play?

Blues and classic rock, mostly. Lately, I’ve been on a ‘60s and ‘70s British Blues Rock binge. Clapton, Zep, Peter Green, Yardbirds, early Free, Stones.

    Danelectro Owners Club

I really like mine. I think it’s a surprisingly fun guitar to play.

    What am I missing here?

I’m not defending—or being defensive. No hostility meant or implied. I was just clarifying that I wasn’t recommending vintage gear, and that cheaper, high quality clones of those circuits are widely available.

    What am I missing here?

Only if you are buying vintage. Which I never suggested. I have a new Fender ‘57 Tweed Deluxe. That’s the 5e3. It was less than $2000 with discount from Sweetwater. Fender also still offers a Tweed Bassman reissue. It is nowhere near $6000. In fact, up to a few months ago, it was around $1400...

    What am I missing here?

Marshall. Definitely a Marshall. (I like the JTM45, myself.) But, also a Tweed. A real Tweed, not just an amp with tweed covering that isn’t a tweed circuit. Clones are fine, though, and will be cheaper. 5e3 Deluxe, Tweed Bassman, Tweed Super. A Tweed Bandmaster is a wonderful sound if you...

    NDD

Danos are ridiculously fun to play. I keep mine (the regular black one) downstairs in the tv room. I think it gets more playing time than some of the more expensive guitars in my collection. Enjoy!

    A big happy 4 20 to all

My only problem with the whole “4/20” celebration is that it’s like the “Taco Tuesday” thing. Setting aside one day is like saying “you should only eat tacos on Tuesdays.” Which is insane because every day is Taco Tuesday. And…and…wait…um, what were we talking about? I just sort of spaced for...

    What’s So Funny…

As I walk through this wicked world Searchin' for light in the darkness of insanity I ask myself, is all hope lost? Is there only pain and hatred, and misery? And each time I feel like this inside There's one thing I wanna know What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding? Oh What's so...

NGD! - Guild Starfire IV Semi-Hollow Body

Oh, man! You bought a great guitar! I think the Starfire is really under-appreciated. It was good enough for Buddy Guy, and Son Seals. I love mine. I particularly love the thing where you play it loud—just before the feedback starts—the top vibrates like it’s alive.

    What’s So Funny…

No message implied in this post, I just haven’t been able to get this song out of my head today. I never really gave Elvis Costello much thought. Then, a while ago my GF and I went to see Bob Dylan. Costello opened for him. Just him and his acoustic guitar. He blew me away. I never knew how...

    Clapton

Not me. I’m a fan. And I was lucky enough to meet him and talk gear with him years ago for about 45 minutes. It was the same week his first big album hit number one on the Billboard Blues Charts. Nice guy. Down to earth. Approachable. Most of the people who hate him are overcome with jealousy...
