Okay this one isn't Boston, but it's the same tone with a little less gain and EQ'ed differently.....
Takin' you back to 1985....when everybody and their mother in the top 40 was using a Rockman on studio guitars....
This band is named after a baseball field position.....
Is everybody feelin' satisfied with Boston yet? Okay, I've played with some tube processing and EQ and reverb panned differently than the main channel.....I think it's even closer now @SalvorHardin
Here's another part of Don't Look Back - i'm practicing for once in my life here!!
And....another from the same album, yes I'm sloppy but this is my first time playing more than 15 minutes in a month in YEARS.....
Yes, and here it is again! I think I got the right tone now, just a bit more gain with the tone rolled back, full on vintage chorus, and a little bit of phaser.....and a 7 band EQ....
It's not a 20th Anniversary Squier
It's just a 2002 Standard Squier Strat with 2 point tremolo in Candy Apple Red, that happens to be made during Squier's 20th year which had the special neck plate on each model
They are a full thickness body and the neck on these is usually very nice.....
If...
Those are cheap chinese Artec ceramic or alnico V rail pickups readily available for less than $20 each.....
either that or GuitarFetish, but they supply their stuff from the same place....
Seymour Duncan do not visually look like those whatsoever, neither do any by other higher end pickup...
REALLY? man.....I saw that one thread this morning and didn't say a word. I think I left before it went south.....was out on a day trip most of the day. Hope you're doing well my friend!
I don't even like natural relic'ing - to me once a guitar is less than mint condition perfect, I dislike it.....and I sell it....always have.....
I want my guitar to look brand new in 50 years still and not even have noticeable use or fret wear :P
What I'm referring to guys......let me try to explain again for those I think might not be following me....
a Strat single coil is a certain shape and size we're familiar with. A regular humbucker is basically (I know, slightly smaller - but basically) like 2 Strat single coils side by side...
Yes, we've seen P90s, we've seen P94s (P90 style in a humbucker casing)......we've seen normal humbuckers with thin single coils....
Has anyone ever done side by side P90 in series? It wouldn't fit in any conventional guitar routing or pickguard.....but.....In theory, with one coil wound...
