Canada Day Canadian Music Appreciation Thread

An excellent performance by the Phantoms with Jeff Healy, just hanging in there…. I discovered The Pantoms late 80’s at a Jeff Healy show where they were the opening band. It was in a University gymnasium, probably 2 to 300 people crowd. The Phantoms rocked the house warming up the small...

How many of you click the ads at the bottom?

I only get 2 ads section, one right under the first post of the page and one on the right side. Always music related, pretty much always sweet water.

Well a 2 years gap is a lot, but a 93 body on a 91 serial number is impossible no ?

    I fried my TS9. Help!

Yep, that’s pretty much the plan if I get my hands on it. The resistors should be fine, polarity would not impact them. The first 2 caps seems polarized, so these are the first suspect, after that it will be a slow process to check through the path., one component at a time.

    I fried my TS9. Help!

Don’t be offended… I was simply pointing out the main part of your post I disagreed with. In the same post, I admitted my mistake and lack of knowledge of voltage regulation. As for my credibility, I have none and don’t aspire to have any. i always clearly stated that I was hobbyist and not...

    New Toy

Congrats ! Nice instrument. As for pictures, if you can;t download them, you can always take a screen shot of them. This is what @wooders did… As for finding the ads of your exact guitar, well that’s his secret ! 🤐

    I fried my TS9. Help!

You’re right, I got it wrong, it’s the hot signal and when engaged close the circuit to ground and provide power to the board…

Oh ! That’s a 3PDT breakout board for simplified wiring of the foot switch. SW lead to bypass.

So what’s the count up to?

I’m really not… Only the person who’s ignored me and their little minions. I wouldn’t dare ! Depends, is it a long line ? I’m pretty impatient ! ;)

If you’re talking about the graphic bottom right of the drawing, it’s my signature EG. That drawing was my poor attempt at an SRV portrait.

So what’s the count up to?

I’ve always defined a troll as anyone who puts out statement only to generate internet “fights” for the fun of it even if they believe or don’t their own point of view.

So what’s the count up to?

Well I don’t think im right about everything under the sun, but if anyone is making an argument, they have to believe their opinion is supported by valid evidences or why argue ? You can’t see who’s ignoring who, that’s why those who want to make you look bad use a metaphor such as cornfield or...

So what’s the count up to?

Isn’t that the premise of any argument ? I’m pretty sure I was put on ignore for disagreeing with members here, however I saw that as their admission they were wrong and ran out of counter arguments. But instead of admitting it, they just try to make me look bad by putting me on their ignore list.

    Rare never before seen.

    Which one is @Ebidis ?
  17. Eric_G

    Never seen that before

Yeah, same here… sure would be an odd scale if it was a 21 frets.

    Never seen that before

For my knowledge, did fender ever produced a vine inlay neck or is it the combo of inlays and square heel that screams non-fender ?
  19. Eric_G

    Never seen that before

Is it a 22 frets neck modified to fit ?

I just got a phishing text about a Citibank account I do not have.

Phishing has always been and will always be a threat. For 2 very simple reasons, humans are gullible and it pays well. Protection against social engineering is extremely difficult to provide, it’s a constant tug of war between the services/companies that implement new detection controls and...

    I fried my TS9. Help!

The more I look at the power supply circuit, the more I learn and the more I realized it seems poorly designed. First, regardless if the zener was meant for reverse polarity or not, the circuit doesn't provide reliable reverse polarity protection. As pointed out, it would shunt the reverse...

    I fried my TS9. Help!

Voltage regulator yes, but what I mainly disagree with you on the subject was when you stated this: The zener is definitely not use as a voltage divider… Mea Culpa, I also didn’t know about zener diode for voltage regulation. But it’s all good, I owe you for inventing my wife ! :sneaky:

So I got a reply and they accepted the offer at 750$ CAN. Just needs to figure out logistic to go pick it up. Turns out it's the seller son's guitar, so I need to coordinate with him the pickup. At the end I will walk away with: Fender Stage 1000 - 100W SS and FX Acoustic Guitar - Citation...
