The Mystery Strat is here - Pics inside!

As @John C said it was $1119.99, which if it would have been a legit AVRI, It would be on my wall! Since its a partscaster, which was likely the case even before it got here, it loses value to someone who wants an AVRI. Which is why the value is lower.

The Mystery Strat is here - Pics inside!

Now the body? Well that I am unsure about. It doesn't "seem" like a Fender body, maybe it is....the finish feels very thin and is transparent. You can see the wood grain through the body. However, there is a spot on the neck that matches the body, which makes irt seem like the two have been...

The Mystery Strat is here - Pics inside!

Okay - so last week I posted this mystery strat that I opted to take in and take a look at. It arrived today and it took no time before I disassembled it to see what was up. For those that didn't see the original thread, here was some of the photos. This guitar had a serial number plate...

    What Stratocaster model is this?!

Yes I bought it. When I see something that looks like it may be special, I tend to order it - and then just return it if its not. GC makes returns super easy, so I enjoy bringing them in to see if its anything other than what I think. Since I don't recall there ever being a "American Standard...

    What Stratocaster model is this?!

    What Stratocaster model is this?!

Hey gang! Can you help me identify this strat? I "believe" its a 62 AVRI but there are some things that throw me like the tuners and the round string tree (instead of a butterfly). Any tips would be appreciated! Serial: V015771

When did Fender release the AVRI 70 series?

Just as the title states, did the AVRI 70s 3-bolt Strats come out in the early 80s as well? I only ever hear about the 57/62 - but I’m curious about the 70s!

    This 88 American Standard....whew!

This American Standard came showed up today - wow. It's gorgeous. Dakota Red. I wasn't planning on buying an Am. Standard as I want a 80s Japan Reissue, and now I guess I'll be buying two strats. This strat is gorgeous all around, it appears like there is a new pickguard on it. I truly enjoy how...

NGD: Fender Japan E Series - Lake Placid Blue

I've got two other strats, all new strats for me are an "emotional purchase" - but even this one might not make the cut. I don't mind overpaying for "the" guitar, but paying a lot over is hard to swallow.

NGD: Fender Japan E Series - Lake Placid Blue

oh it was more than that! It was $1100 plus tax. But damn - the color and condition might get me. I haven’t seen many Lake Placid Blue. I want a nice Japan strat so badly though!

NGD: Fender Japan E Series - Lake Placid Blue

Here's another one of these "I spent more than I should have...probably". This popped up on Guitar Center, which I personally really enjoy due to the return policy. I can bring in a bunch of instruments and return the ones I don't like. However today, I got this E series Lake Placid Blue Japan...
