    Cheap modder from Artist Guitars.

Yes, I have a strong desire for Jennifer Aniston, who I had no interest in 25 years ago.

Removing custom laquer from 1972 hardtail - any suggestions?

Take it from someone who has been there: skip the chemicals and use a powered sander with heavy sandpaper, then medium to fine. Don‘r worry about “ruining” the body, sounds like it’s already been butchered, as mine was.

    57/62 pickups differences ??

I have a 92-ish 62 RI with its stock pickups. Altho i have heard some gripe here that these 86-97 pickups aren't true "vintage", mine are the best-sounding Strat pickups I've ever heard. The post-1998 pups sound a little thinner to me, and I don't care for them. Even the bridge pickup in my AVRI...

1981 “The Strat” with a… what IS that Kahler bridge?

From what i see on ebay, "Flyer" is a very generic name for a bunch of Kahler bridges - not one of which looks like mine. What I'm looking for is a model number. BTW - the 83 and 84 Strats and Elites used a very different bridge than the STRAT: a Freeflyte bridge. Thanks for your reply.

1981 “The Strat” with a… what IS that Kahler bridge?

Hey all. I recently picked up a 1981 “STRAT” in Lake Placid Blue at a good price. Unfortunately, all its original gold hardware is gone. Even worse, that cool, solid brass brass bridge it originally came with was replaced with a Kahler bridge (argh!). What the heck was THAT guy thinking...

    International Colors Series

Yep, the 81 and 82 Strats had an X1 pup in the bridge spot. What a shame that some dummy swapped out the X1. It's a great pickup - he should have swapped out one of the other pickups, which are nothing special.

60th Anniversary 1954 American Vintage Reissue Stratocaster value?

I owned one of these and had a hard time selling it, despite it being near-mint. i received no offers over $1000. I ended up parting it out.

Can any pickups be wired through the s1 switch ?

    No, only working pickups.

    Fender MOD Shop experience?

Really?! I've seen more than a couple, even a bad switch brand new right of the box. If it's mechanical, it can and WILL break!

    Fender Strat/Tele case - original 70s maybe?

Definitely NOt a 70s fender with that red plush interior.

    What is this pickup?

    Great, thanks!

    What is this pickup?

Hi all. I pulled this pup out of a badly butchered Fender Lead II guitar. Can't say I've seen this kind of DiMarzio before. Look familiar to anyone? Its resistance is 14.88 Kohms. TIA!

Once again, its time to play NAME THAT PICKUP!

Hmmmm. Looks similar, but my pickup looks older and has different (hex-head) poles. Resistance on the crunch lab is only 11.03 Kohms.

broken clip on 2002 American Deluxe trem block

TRY a threaded bar. Not sure about your model, but I have seen Deluxe bridges from the 1990s Strat Plus that accepted either type of bar.

The Most Stratocaster For The Least Money Used

Ditto on the mid 90s MIM Squier Series black label Strats.

I'm about to buy this strat. Would you take a look at it?

Sheez, I hate to have to agree with Guitarmageddon, but I do: anything over $500 for a used MIM Strat in the USA or Canada is too much $, unless it has a lot of expensive upgrades in it.

    Roland Ready strats

I always wanted to check one of these out. I also play keyboards so I'm very familiar with the MIDI stuff. Can you simply plug it into any MIDI synth module?

Is this Black Label MIM Strat?

These Traditionals or Squier Series sell for around $200-$250. Great vintage-style necks on the 1994 and 1995 versions (made in the USA), not at all like the standard MIM necks. You will need to upgrade the godawful tuners. I own one myself, one of my favorite Strats, although only the neck are...

Help me choose my first strat

Agreed - but apparently nobody at the Fender Mexico factory knows how. The same goes for most guitarists.
