Nope. I can just reach up inside and flick it. There’s enough room in the box to get my fingers up there. I’m assuming he wanted it like that as a “secret weapon” type thing
Ok! Info about the switch from the builder:
“I am a Gibson guy so sometimes I like to have a little bit of a different bass response and that is a cathode resistor switch for V1”
So I guess it’s a switch to either fatten or cut bass response depending on humbuckers or single coils. Cool!
Today I just picked up a “new to me” custom made Moratto amp. Looks like a tweed deluxe but it’s got a little surprise inside. It’s a mix of a tweed deluxe and a Harvard. First impressions are that it’s amazing…..of course I expected nothing less from such a quality builder. Full and rich, takes...
I have the opportunity to buy one of these amps but not sure if it’s worth it. From what I’ve read, it’s basically a Classic 50, but with a 15” speaker and was only made for a couple of years.
Anyone here ever played through one or have one?
Just finished putting my vintage Hi-Fi System together in the mancave! Loving the sounds of a true vintage system.
Akai reel to reel, Marantz 6100 turntable, Pioneer TX-6800 tuner, Pioneer SA-6700 amplifier, and a pair of vintage Polk Audio “Monitor Series” speakers…loving’ life right now
Well this is interesting…..opened the Bud-Wah up for the first time today and not that there was a doubt before as to the relation of the Budda Wah to the crybaby, but this definitely solidifies it lmao.
Finally tracked one down and grabbed it. Budda “Bud- Wah”!! I don’t know how old it is but I’m guessing it’s an early one right after they changed from the black label to the purple one since it doesn’t have that extra battery door on the bottom.
Either way it sounds pretty good. Very...
I have the opportunity to buy an older Budda Bud-Wah..(purple label)….and I know there’s sooooo many people who absolutely love this Wah pedal.
Anyone here have first hand experience with one and is $175 CAD an outrageous price?
here’s some pics of the pedal I’m looking at buying:
Well….I snatched up the pedal after some communication with Sean at Lovepedal. I asked him if he remembered how many he made made and his response was:
“Oh man probably less than 50?”
So you could say it’s a pretty rare pedal and hard to find at this point. I’m not necessarily looking for a...
Just saw one of these pop up on Reverb. Apparently it’s the 5e3 side of the big Les Lius and the Tchula side. Fixed gain but it seems SUPER rare. Anyone here had experience with one? It’ll be about $300 CAD after shipping so I was curious before I dropped that kind of money on something
I’ve recently come to the conclusion that I don’t like transparent overdrives. Maybe I’m just old or maybe I’ve been playing tube screamers for too long but I like a little mid hump to my overdrive. It just sounds “right” to me. I’ve been on a search for a “transparent” overdrive for many years...
