Or a Vintage 30 might even be a better choice to boost up the mids. If the scooped mids were the issue for me, my first stop would be Vintage 30. If that doesn't work, it's just not the amp for you, and greenback, creamback, or most anything else isn't going to save it ;- )

I have the Parsons Street humbuckers in an Epi Dot, they sound fantastic. Since finding GM, even those are pricey to me now. But they're great PAF-fy pickups.
The notes kind of "bloom" and the amp starts to sound bigger and fuller. The tonality just sounds better overall and you want to keep playing and hearing it.
Agree, it would have been easier to answer if the OP had specified the amount of gain he wanted. But a klon is going in the wrong direction for transparent, imho, although everyone hears things differently. In general for "not coloring the sound," I personally would tend to steer away from TS...
