I am trying to like them.. I’d prefer keeping this strat stock.. I’m playing around with pup height and may put back the original trem.. I switched that out for a Wudtone trem with steel block.. someone mentioned to me that even though the original one piece zinc trem is no very well liked by...
Not sure I’m getting along with my 81 pups..
(X1 in bridge) ...
I don’t know what is normal expectations tone wise on these.. ?
They are kind of bright and squeaky.. not spikey.. maybe a tad bit microphonic ..
Maybe better to my ears on the clean channels of my amps vs. gain or high gain...
Thanks! Haven’t bought it yet.
I mainly use graphtec for all my nuts..
It’s for my 81 strat and they don’t have a curved nut either the width and string spacing I need.. but they have a flat strat nut that is much closer to the spacing and width.. I have no problem sanding down the base of the...
Wow.. just picked up a used Yamaha 620 Revstar..
Very very nice guitar.. feels very Gibson like.. well made.. stock pups sound good.. what a nice electric and good pricing..
For me .. out of. My champ, Orange micro terror, Marshall Class 5, orange 120c which is big but sounds great at lower volumes..
My Yamaha THR10c is the best low volume amp I have.. it still amazes me how much this thing even feels.. the interaction between guitar and amp is there.. excepts...

I installed a properly machined bridge and the exaggerated skew was improved.
I ordered it with a white pg brand new. I’m the og owner and that is the og pg. 1981.
The screw holes are definitely out of alignment. I won’t touch it if I can set it up properly, have the trem wok right and most importantly can intonate.
When I screw the e a d screws in the bridge stays...
Thanks for the reply.. I agree.. I removed the bridge and g b e screw holes are misaligned.
So I’ll set all up as is and if it works as it should and can intonate I’ll leave it.. if not, re drill those 3 holes.
The bridge is angle back on the high E so it’s not about the spring it’s that the high e saddle needs to be moved forward towards the screw.. to compensate..
I just got my 1st guitar back after being separated for 30 years.
I have learned so much about strats and guitars since then.
So I am noticing that the 6 screw holes for the bridge seem off?
Don’t think it’s the Pickguard...
You can see from the back of the block.. and how forward the...
