I was gonna swap it with a Pro II rose wood Blue. I could be swayed to either side as to which guitar has more value. Technically the Pro II is more on a retail side, but these Highway ones with the rare nitro finishes could be worth a lot some day. So I was kind of looking at it from that...
So the strats and Fender gear I've have all have certificates of authenticity.
I recognize the fact that maybe the Highway ones aren't gonna have an authentic "THIS IS A HIGHWAY ONE" certificate, but that was kind of the issue with this dude. He didn't give me any time to do any form of...
Well I backed out which I feel bad about. But this guy was super pushy to get the deal done this weekend and it had to happen before the Eagles game. That in itself was kind of a red flag. He had no paperwork, his only proof was “the guy from Sam ash says it is”.
I feel like a dick, but the...
Haha I just pulled over while on the way and asked for him to provide any kind of paperwork proving it’s a Highway one….
Obviously should have done this before. I’ve been super busy and scatter brained. Thanks for the heads up. I’d rather be annoying/miss out on the deal then get scammed.
Someone offered me a Highway One Strat in a trade. I'm pretty interested due to the Nitro finishes they have. Problem is, it has a gold bridge, tuners and screws that make it a little fishy. I also didn't get any hits on the Serial Number lookups online.
Heres the summary of the posting...
Why didn't I Include Pics? Sorry I was drunk and emotional when I posted this. A little Sangiovese goes a long way. I've been messing with the saddles myself to try to fix it. I'm going to bring it in to the guitar Doc.
I bought this guy like 3ish months ago in a spectacular deal. It was primarily a aesthetic thing for me. I really wanted a Nitro finished Strat. Since I bought it I've had one glaring issue with it...my high E string tends to slip off the edge of the fret board. I'll be in the middle of...
Wow this is exactly what I need. Quick swaps would be amazing. Ideally I'd like to keep my vintage PUPs with one pickguard then switch it out occasionally with some sassier PUPs when I'm going through my Biannual Grunge phase.
I have a fantastic 59 RI Strat that I love dearly. Its really the only guitar I want to play, I don't want another separate guitar for Humbuckers. I know converting this beauty over to an HSS set up would be blasphemy....But I do have a great situation for it. I have an HSS pickguard I...
God cursed me with indecisiveness. It takes me 10 minutes in a grocery store to pick a can of tomatoes. Help me decide this one. My fate is in your hands.
Vibro Champ 68 RI for 600
or
Tone King Gremlin Combo for 900 and an OD pedal.
Strictly at home practice amp for low volume good...
Sadly I've been playing on and off for decades and I've never owned a tube amp. In my brain the beauty of the tube is getting natural drive, but obviously that necessitates volume. But, playing a 15w with a volume and turning it down to use some OD pedals for drive is obviously a better option...
Yes exactly, stone walls that connect with the neighbors. Only problem is my basement ceiling is unfinished. We bought the place not even a year ago, so I'm still working on how I'm going to do some sound proofing.
As a late game surprise, my friend introduced me to some Quilter stuff that...
I've been able to get my hands on Tonemasters. When I drop the wattage down all the way it sounds great even with the modulated break up. 15 Watts I've obviously got my hands on but there's no way I can run them past 3 in my house, and testing them with Pedals isn't easy.
So I guess to sum...
I have the 1st Version of the 50 Watt. The cleans sound muddled and horrible on it. I bought it second hand, so I'm not sure if there's something wrong with it or what. I've been using it for years but I've never been in love with it. I've never thought of running a line out of it too be...
I would really like to take advantage of the long term 0% financing options out there, so I'm looking at a new amp. I play at home in Philly on a boss Katana and I'm just not loving it. I would describe Katanas as....It can do anything! Just none of it well.
Anyways, 15 Watt amps are out...
