This is my third scalloped guitar, so its safe to say I love scalloped Strats. Its phenomenal for clean shredding, massive bends and perfect vibrato, but I gotta say, dirtier blues style playing just doesn't work on full neck scallop guitars. Moves like double stop bends that you would commonly...
SSS Because stacked single coils sound like humbuckers, but split coil humbuckers (do they even make Strats with those?) don't sound like single coils.
FWIW I play primarily metal and prefer SSS format for this exact reason
Stop flaming my thread when you're clearly wrong. You can see in my picture that I paid $1800 for the Yngwie Stratocaster. I don't have Fender Play; I got the discount using the honey extension.
Yeah, it did. My understanding is that only the very original, pre signature run lacked Yngwie's signature on the headstock.
Agreed. It might hurt the resale value but this guitar is phenomenal and I'm gonna play the **** out of it
This is my 2022 Yngwie Malmsteen signature Strat, purchased directly through Fender. The guitar has never traded hands, and I've registered the serial number. I just realized there is no signature on the headstock, has anyone seen this before?
I'm sure WD-40 is guitar safe, but I wouldn't recommend it as a long term lubricant solution for anything. It will become ineffective far sooner than you change strings
I gotta say, this YJM Stratocaster is BY FAR the best guitar I've ever owned. I've owned USA Jacksons (pre Fender, the good ones), so my standard is sky high. This guitar is truly a players guitar; it compromises nothing. Tuning stability and intonation is PERFECT if you have the dexterity to...
The brass nut on this guitar is cut for the exact string and string gauge I'm using. So, in your opinion, I shouldn't bother with lubricant for this nut? Its my first time owning a brass nut guitar
Just got a YJM Strat, and I'm unsure how often I have to lubricate the nut, and with what material. Is graphite still the best option? I'm using the OEM strings and string gauge. I tried searching online, and couldn't get a direct answer.
Thanks
