Yep.. I had a '65. and a '68... they kept me "in shape" walking to find a garage to bail me out.... they were, however some of the most fun cars I've owned and I've had a few stellar "rides" over the years... but I miss the MG's... if I still had 'em perhaps I wouldn't be quite so rotund...

I've got my dad's old '70 Midget parked in the back of the house. I suppose I ought to charge up the battery and run it a bit. It's 2 years I guess since I've driven it, needed some brake work and I just haven't got around to it. Probably needs a battery now.

Those old cars are pretty fun, but they are not to be mistaken for transportation. Plus they're a bit tight to climb in and out of.

And if that guitar has twin webers, it is even more reliable and guaranteed to run smoothly forever without any tweaking, ever.

I once moved from Kansas City Missouri to Dallas Texas in a Fiat 124 spider.
I had everything I owned in that car including a 4x12 speaker cabinet strapped to the luggage rack on the trunk. I had a co-driver with me and we had a hoot, this was late 77.

I've done much the same .. gigging out of an MG.. with two other guys... now that's a study in efficient use of space... and a really poor use of cognitive reasoning... as the cop told me..:D however I did move up to a Corvair...

Me and the bassist used to gig in his mini Cooper , a 100w Marshall and big Yamaha bass amp poor things rear sub frame ended up collapsing one night , man that was a long walk home carrying them ,this was before the days of mobiles and he lived on a farm out in the sticks so no pay phone either. Took us about two hours of walking put amps and guitar down for a bit then carry on kinda thing it sucked hard.:)
