Rosewood looks never agreed with me although there are some Brazilian rosewood slabs that look awesome.Fiebings leather dye is a solution to make it at least jet black but lately i found out that if i finish it with something(either lacquer or superglue) to make it glossy and a bit polished it actually doesnt look half bad...
No, totally different species. They're not even in the same order, botanically. It would be hard to mistake one for the other, if you were looking at living growing specimens.
