My setup is very simple, TS9 with an Effectrode Blackbird Tube Preamp direct into the audio interface, output through Logic to Yamaha Studio Monitors. Guitars are a Les Paul Standard and a MIM Strat.

I'm looking for some suggestions on settings for this setup to get close to the 1970s Brit-Punk tone, such as Sex Pistols, Undertones etc...

I'm actually liking the TS9 driving the Gain channel of the Blackbird rather than the clean channel as can be seen in the setup below.

Use that and the Blackbird, tweak the knobs till you get the sound you like. Between those three pedals the sound you are after is there.

Thanks, which order would you suggest for the pedals?

That I don't know. I have never used the blackbird before. I used to run a TS into a DS-1 when I had those two pedals.

Take a heavy metal guitar tone, play a little sloppier, keep your palm muting to a minimum, write stripped down tunes filled with testosterone

Yes, I've come to the same conclusion. No pedals at all. The Blackbird has a gain knob.

Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) had a secret.
A Les Paul into a Marshall head with a 4x12 cabinet.
