Check out this goofball Strat on eBay.

    A. I've never seen a 70's (or any other year Strat for that matter) that had a custom pickguard and it was noted on the hang tag....

    B. Look @ the Foil shield on the back of the guard. Can we say mid 80's and up American Standard?

    C. (and most important of all....). Enlarge the picture of the hang tag. Check out the spelling: "C/O Perloid P/Gaurd"......

Again, it's a 100% fake and not correct, but at least have the common sense to spell Pearloid P/Guard correctly.....

    Another thing I just noticed:

Read the description. See where it says "early 75. pick ups have a light stagger" What the hell is that?? Has ANYONE ever seen a "Light stagger" on a 70's pickup (ESPECIALLY a 1975???)

Look @ the picture of the bottom of the pickups. Notice how the magnets are pushed out to simulate stagger. (because flush poles are shorter then REAL staggered poles the scammer could only achive "Light stagger"....). You'll also see that there is candle wax applied @ the bottom so the bobbin & magnets will be flush and the buyer won't notice it @ first glance (if at all....)
