    Hello,
I am new to the forum, but have a question.
I have a 1976 Strat. hard tail that I decided to change out all three pots.
The middle tone pot scratches very slightly, but instead of changing just the one pot, I changed all three.
They have the original grounding rod, and original cap.
The wiring is still complete other than I desoldered the ground rod from the pot that just started to make the scratching sound.
It is so slight, that I am sure it could be sprayed with electrical cleaner and it should clear right up.
Anybody have an idea on what the three pots are worth, dollar wise.
I am never going to sell the guitar, so I am not too concerned about keeping it pure original.
I did purchase it new when I lived in Las Vegas.
Thanks for any input , it would be appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum.

I don't know but there are plenty of people here who could answer that. It might help them if you posted some pictures of the pots so they can run the numbers on them and get dates, mfg., etc.

I would have just used some deoxit on that scratchy pot, and I'd try doing that anyway to clean it up for sale. Might have to wire it to something just to make sure it clears up the issue, but that stuff works great.

IMO, they are old used pots. Worth about 50¢ each at a flea market.
