It would. Even at 900 this is the cheapest MIJ Fender in Sweden at the moment.

They're doing the old sailing against the wind Viking trick...

nah. That’s just lots of apparent wind off the bow when they started rowing and sped up at the same time. Them Vikings could row.

Like you @Cerb, I’m part Viking, but not by choice but rather via Northumbria. That’s probably why I sail.

    Bingo.

Although it is possible to sail down wind and against the waves, the waves would look very different.

I once set a radar tracker (wheb I worked at a place that had such things) on one of the large racing trimarans. They were sailing close hauled, down wind, doing 18 knots in 14 knots of wind. That's some apparent wind!

That kills the joy of sailing downwind, by the lee, surfing waves and attacking someone’s air from astern.

My favorite boat to race right now is the Star. You can see us jibing at :09. We also won the first race and ended up 3rd overall. ;)

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

That looks like your average Channel Islands summer return trip to Santa Barbara after a day of fishing when the forecast turned out to be dead wrong.....which is 25% of the time.
