Well, some months ago I bought a couple of Roadstar II guitars that needed some help. I wound up doing some clean up and adjustments on this 1984 RS430.
It was a deluxe model I guess back in the day. I wound up tightening all the nuts and screws on the guitar. Even the neck screws, which were loose, as well as the tuners, switch, etc.
Bought this guitar off Reverb at a good price. It was advertised as “very good” condition, but it was actually in “excellent” condition. It is all original.
I spent the better part of the night working on it. I raised the pickups, which I assume are ceramic, and got a stronger sound out of it. The previous owner did an L&C. The frets are kind of short. It came with mediums From the factory.
It’s no fun to restring this thing. Worse than any double locking trem I have ever experienced. A real Floyd is much easier. This is a Pro Rock’r of some variety.
