So, those wanting to replace the NUT on the Player Stratocaster, you need to know the various measurements in order to order the correct NUT. Well, here you go!
The Nut has a curved base, that is, it matches the fretboard radius. It is NOT FLAT on the bottom edge.

    NUT SPECS
    Length 42mm
    Thickness 3.1mm
    Height 4.3mm

    SLOT SPECS
    Max Depth 2.15mm at Centre
    Depth at Low E 2.15mm
    Depth at Hi E 1.9mm
    Width 42mm

    HOW REMOVE NUT?
Removal is a matter of running a sharp blade along both front/back edges, then use a small wood block and hammer, gently tap the nut ONLY sideways.
Very minimal force directly on the nut, not any portion of the neck is all is needed to shift the nut. Tap away to at least halfway out before lifting the nut out.
    Presto!

See the NUT base matches the neck radius.
